Configuring Azure OpenAI with Elephas
Bring your custom Azure OpenAI models directly into Elephas β for full control, flexibility, and enterprise-level security.
Step 1: Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure youβve got everything ready to go.

This quick guide walks you through generating your API key and endpoint β the essentials for connecting Azure OpenAI with Elephas.
Step 2: Add Azure OpenAI to Elephas
- Open Elephas Preferences
- Navigate to AI Providers tab

- Select Azure OpenAI

- Click the βοΈ gear icon beside Azure OpenAI

- Enter:
- Resource URL β your Azure OpenAI endpoint
- API Key β the key obtained in Step 1
Once verified, Elephas will automatically load all models deployed under your Azure OpenAI resource.
- From the list of available models, select the ones you wish to use.
- Click Save.
Your selected models are now integrated into Elephas and ready to be used across all features.
Step 3: Start Using Azure OpenAI in Elephas
After saving, you can use your Azure models in:
- Super Chat β for real-time AI conversations using your Azure-hosted models
- Brain Indexing β to power searches and responses with Azure AI
- Model Settings β to assign specific models for features like summarization, writing, or workflows
Troubleshooting
If your models are not appearing:
- Double-check your endpoint URL and API key
- Ensure your model is deployed and active in Azure OpenAI
- Reopen Elephas β Preferences β AI Providers β AzureOpenAI β βοΈ β Verify again
