Install & Set Up Elephas
Download, install, and start using Elephas in just a few minutes.
Welcome to Elephas — your intelligent, privacy-first AI assistant for Mac.
Let’s get you set up in just a few minutes. ⚡
This guide walks you through everything — from downloading the installer to launching your first AI-powered workspace.
Once completed, you’ll be ready to activate your license and start exploring everything Elephas can do.
🪄 Step 1 — Download the Elephas Installer
To get started, visit the official Elephas website:
If you’ve already subscribed, check your inbox for an email titled
“You’ve subscribed to Elephas – Your AI-Powered Knowledge Assistant!”
This email includes:
- 📦 A link to download the DMG installer
- 🔑 Your unique license key

You can also download the latest installer directly here 👇
Tip: Always download Elephas from the official website to ensure you’re using the most secure, up-to-date version.
💻 Step 2 — Install the App
- Locate the downloaded file:
Open your Downloads folder and find Elephas_latest.dmg
- Open the DMG file:
Double-click it to start the installation.
- Drag to Applications:
When the window appears, drag Elephas into your Applications folder.

Once installed, you can safely eject the DMG file.
🚀 Step 3 — Launch Elephas
- Open Launchpad or use Spotlight Search
→ Press ⌘ + Space, then type Elephas
- Hit Enter to launch the app.
- You’ll see the Elephas icon appear in your Mac’s menu bar.

If you don’t see the icon, you may have too many menu bar apps open. Try closing a few, then re-launch Elephas.
🔐 Step 4 — Grant Accessibility Permissions
To allow Elephas to assist system-wide (for writing, SuperChat, and automation), macOS requires Accessibility permissions.
When you first launch Elephas, macOS will show a popup asking for Accessibility access:
“Elephas would like to control this computer using accessibility features.”

These permissions are necessary for Elephas to function smoothly across your apps — like Notes, Mail, and Safari.
Here’s what to do:
- Click “Open System Settings” when prompted.
- macOS will open Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
- Enable the toggle next to Elephas to grant access.

That’s it! ✅
Once enabled, Elephas can assist you across all apps — such as writing, automating, and activating SuperChat seamlessly.
You’ll only see this popup once. If you accidentally click “Deny”, you can always enable it later manually under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
Step 5 — Verify Setup
Once installed, you’ll see the Elephas icon in your Mac’s menu bar — confirming it’s active.
Click the icon to open the quick menu or start a chat instantly.
If the icon doesn’t appear:
- Restart Elephas
- Ensure it’s in the Applications folder
- Check Preferences → General and enable “Launch at StartUp”

You can also press ⌘ + , (Command + Comma) — the standard Mac shortcut for quickly opening app preferences.
